And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day. (Joshua 4:9 KJV)
It was done as this verse describes to make a memorial for coming generations, that Jehovah parted the Jordan and let the Israelites cross on dry ground. And at the time the scripture was written, the pillars still stood.
Time takes its toll on a lot of things. But within a nation, a community, a church, or a home, it is important to remember
the starting point and see how much God has blessed.
More importantly is to remember the principles that we started with that have made us blessed people- reliance on the Spirit of Christ and the Word of God to guide our decisions.
Whether or not the pillars still stand depends on whether or not we stand firm on Him regardless of the climate or conditions around us.
