I suppose the relevance of when life begins lies in determining at what point a person’s choice involves murdering a human being. The view of “for me, life began when I delivered,” is perfect secular humanism at work (tweet that); in other words, man or woman is the measure of mankind. Life starts when I say it starts is the idea. It’s cute for a talk show, but it gets rather ugly when philosophers publish in a professional journal that “after-birth abortions” should be perfectly fine when abortion would have been justified prior…
